Kedren is a multi award-nominated actor and burgeoning director and filmmaker. A former athlete and singer, she received her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2010 from the University of Maryland and was a paraprofessional until she began professionally pursuing acting in 2012. In 2018 she graduated with her MFA from Florida State University/Asolo Repertory and immediately relocated to New York to resume her professional acting career. She has been seen on and off the stage in shows such as Toni Stone (SUZI and BroadwayWorld nominated), ‘Pen, Again‘ (short), ‘Pretty Little Liars: Summer School’ (HBO), ‘New Amsterdam’ (NBC), ‘Bull’ (CBS), Richard III, and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Handy Nominated); she made her Broadway debut in 2022 in the 6x Tony nominated play ‘Ain’t No Mo’.’ Since finishing her Master’s she has become vigorously devoted to expanding and shaping minds and hearts through positive narratives of the Black experience.
Rebecca is a two-time Grammy Award-winning singer (Best Opera Album: Porgy & Bess | Fire Shut up in My Bones, The Metropolitan Opera), actress, and filmmaker. She began her formal training studying voice at Baltimore School for the Arts and continued her studies at Oberlin Conservatory and Mannes the New School for Music where she earned her Master’s. Since making her off-broadway debut in Cabin in the Sky at New York City Center, Rebecca has performed at The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and David Geffen Hall. She can be heard on Terence Blanchard’s film score soundtrack for The Woman King. Her TV/Film credits include Dear Edward (Apple+), The Wilson View (Pilot), For Life (ABC), and The Fix (short). As the co-writer, co-producer, and star of ‘Last Call,’ she is very excited and proud to share the film; she looks forward to creating more narratives centered around Black excellence and joy.
